2026 Workshops
(1) How Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impacting Our Christian Faith? (Daniel Topf) – Artificial intelligence is already reshaping how we work, communicate, and spend our free time. But what does this mean for our faith? In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore how AI is influencing our lives and consider how Christians can respond with discernment and confidence. We’ll also reflect on how the Church can remain a steady source of truth, community, and stability in an increasingly digital world.
(2) Healthy Things Grow (David Fasold) – This workshop explores God’s desire for church growth through the lens of church health. Participants will learn practical and biblical principles for building a healthy and growing church, while identifying key leadership strategies and common barriers that affect ministry effectiveness.
(3) Faith Building – One Seed at a Time (Dennis Beckner) – As Christians who live into the Great Commission, we take to heart the call to baptize and teach others about Christ. How are we doing these things in our local congregations, districts, and as a larger denomination? We’ll talk about how we work together at growing the church by planting the seeds of faith from an early age and continuing to plant seeds in those older in our congregations.
(4) Becoming an Intercultural Ministries Frontliner (Founa Badet) — Learn about the ICM Frontliners ministry which is looking for local volunteers who embody Christ centered hospitality and help the church live out its calling to be a diverse body where all people belong.
(5) Creative Ways to do Charitable Gifting (Dennis LeFevre, Everence Financial) – The workshop introduces a good mix of tools available to both congregations and individuals for charitable giving, including stories of how the tools have been used by individuals to support the charities they support. This seminar helps show ways to utilize charitable tools to overcome the obstacles that people (and organizations) use to limit their thinking to cash gifts and their assumptions about gifting assets due to bad tax consequences.
(6) Connection Project and Your Church (Jeff Glass, Yoryanis Iglesias, Jay Irizarry) – Come see and learn more about how the PSWD’s Connection Project can help your congregation develop your digital front door with social media and website for engagement with your community.
(7) The New Table Conversation (David Steele & Jose Rudy Amaya) – Learn more about this ongoing conversation that is seeking to identify things that get in the way and how to make changes as the Church of the Brethren seeks to grow in being with Jesus in the Neighborhood.
